Description
Walking and working surfaces present slip, trip and fall hazards to workers in all settings. We will explore how you can use ASSP/ANSI standards to eliminate these hazards and prevent costly incidents. ANSI/ASSP A1264.1-2017 establishes safety requirements to prevent workers or objects from falling from elevated walking and work surfaces. ANSI/ASSP A1264.2-2012 contains provisions to prevent slips and falls as a result of surface characteristics or conditions. ANSI/ASSP A10.18-2007 (R2012) establishes reasonable and practical safety requirements to protect employees and the public from falls through temporary roof and floor holes, wall openings, stairways, and active and inactive leading edges and other unprotected edges (for construction and demolition sites).
