Thomas G. Bobick, Ph.D., P.E., CSP, CPE is a safety engineer and consultant. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Ergonomics, from West Virginia University, an M.S. in Industrial Hygiene from University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Mining Engineering from Penn State University. He was employed for 52 years with the federal government — 33 years with NIOSH’s Division of Safety Research and 19 years with the Bureau of Mines and MSHA. He is Chair of the ANSI/ASSP A10.50 subcommittee on Heat Stress Management in Construction and Demolition Operations.
David May, Sc.D., P.E., CIH, is an associate professor emeritus at Keene State College where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses on safety and occupational health applied sciences until retiring in 2016. He previously served 29 years with OSHA, including 17 years as the area director in the Concord, NH, Area Office. May is an OSH trainer with the Region 1 OSHA Training Institute and Educational Center. He also is Vice Chair of ANSI/ASSP A10.50 subcommittee.
John H. Johnson, CSP, presently serves Black & Veatch as vice president of ESHS for global operations. He started his career with Black & Veatch in 1993 and has served the organization in many capacities. Johnson is Chair of the ANSI/ASSP A.10 Committee that develops consensus standards for the construction and demolition industry. A graduate of the University of Central Missouri, he has served chair of ASSP’s Risk Assessment Committee, and as a member of the Society’s Council on Professional Affairs and Finance Committee.
Thomas Pechar, CSP, CRSP, serves as Director, Health, Safety and Environment for Matrix North American Construction. He leads all HSE activities throughout the US and Canada for this Union direct hire construction company in the petrochemical, industrial, electrical and energy industries. Prior to joining Matrix, Tom worked at Black & Veatch for 14 years from projects to leadership roles. This included expatriation to the UK and Dubai in addition to various US project and regional roles. He has developed and managed teams in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
