James G. Borchardt, CPE, CSP
Principal/Managing Consultant, Construction Ergonomics LLC
Jim is a 49-year Safety, Health and Ergonomic (SH&E) professional providing risk reduction services for industrial/construction clients for three national insurance companies. He is currently the Principal/Managing Consultant of Construction Ergonomics LLC. Since 2000, he has served on 5 American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A10 Construction Standards Committees. His undergraduate/graduate studies are in Mathematics/Physics and Safety/Ergonomics. He is a Board-Certified Safety Professional and Certified Professional Ergonomist. His professional goal is to contribute to NIOSH’s Research to Practice (RtP) Initiative by collaborating with SH&E academics through 33 peer-reviewed papers and national/international professional development conferences.
Michael Weatherred, CSP
Michael is a Board Certified Safety Professional with over twenty years of experience in construction safety. He holds a Master's in Occupational Safety & Health from Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Tech. A majority of Michael's career has been spent with Fluor Corporation performing in various roles including site safety manager, corporate safety training manager, director of safety initiatives and US regional lead. Michael is currently leading the safety and security function on a $2.3B extension of Boston's Green Line transit system. He has represented Fluor on ANSI A10 since 2012 and currently leads the Membership Group for the committee.
